Warranty & Care
We strive to prevent complaints. If an item is defective or damaged during delivery, please let us know as soon as possible. You can do this at the nearest Suitable store or our customer service.
To report a complaint, send an email to [email protected] stating your name, telephone number and a photo of any damage or defects.
We will do our utmost to provide a personal response within a few hours. If it is busier than expected, you can expect an answer within 5 working days. Together we look for a suitable solution, such as repair, exchange or refund of the purchase price.
Does an item not meet the expected quality or has damage occurred through no fault of your own? Then you can rely on the legal guarantee. This means that you are entitled to free repair, replacement of the item or refund of the purchase price. It is important to report defects as soon as possible within the expected life of the item.
You also receive a manufacturer's warranty for certain items in our range. This is an extra guarantee that an importer or manufacturer gives. This includes manufacturing defects such as loose seams, broken zippers or other defects not caused by normal wear and tear. The manufacturer or importer sets conditions and a term for this warranty. Suitable has no influence on this.
We guarantee that you can wear Suitable items every week for at least a year without needing to be replaced. In addition, they retain their vibrant colors and comfortable fit even after repeated washing. Does the item not meet your expectations or did something go wrong during washing? We are happy to think along with you to find a suitable solution.
If the ordered item does not meet your expectations or has arrived damaged, please contact us as soon as possible. Our colleagues are ready to work with you to find a suitable solution.
Do you think we have not handled your complaint properly? Then you can contact the Stichting Dispute Committees for Consumer Affairs (SGC). This is an external, independent dispute committee that makes binding decisions for both parties. For more information, please visit www.degeschillencommissie.nl/english/. You can also call them on 070 - 310 53 10 or submit your complaint via the European ODR Platform.
Make sure you always have a few basic thread colours at home. Black, white, brown and blue are the most common colours and match most of your wardrobe. In addition, a small needle set is essential for everyday household sewing tasks.
With just a few simple steps, you can quickly and neatly reattach a button yourself. Follow the instructions below:
- Start by choosing the right thread colour that matches your garment.
- Use a double thread to make the job faster and stronger.
- Pull the thread through the eye of the needle so that an equal length sticks out on both sides.
- Tie a knot at the end of the thread.
- Position the button in the right place on the fabric; pay attention to the placement of the other buttons.
- Insert the needle from underneath through the fabric and then through one of the buttonholes. Pull the thread tight after each stitch.
- Repeat this several times through the different holes to ensure the button is firmly attached.
- Wrap the thread a few times around the stitches between the button and the fabric to strengthen the attachment.
- Secure the thread with a small knot close to the fabric and carefully trim the end.
With these steps, your button will be neatly and securely reattached, and you can confidently continue wearing your garment.
Pilling occurs due to friction while wearing, for example under the arms, on the back or when carrying a bag. This is a natural property of many fabrics and is part of normal use.
Pilling is therefore not covered by warranty, but it can be reduced by gently depilling the garment and caring for it according to the washing instructions.
- Wash clothing inside out.
- Use a laundry bag for delicate fabrics.
- Wash at a low temperature with mild detergent.
- Avoid friction with bags or rough surfaces.
- Use a pilling remover to keep the garment looking good.
Pilling is not a quality issue, but a natural material phenomenon.
Always follow the care label on the garment; it provides the correct maintenance instructions.
- Unsure? Then wash at a lower temperature and use a mild detergent.
- Never wash delicate materials at a higher temperature than recommended.
- Wash jeans as little as possible and preferably inside out.
Deviating from the care instructions may affect the warranty.
For delicate materials, knitwear and items with details, we recommend using a laundry bag. This protects the fabric from pulling, pilling and friction in the drum.
This helps prevent damage that is not covered by warranty.
